TREND-SETTING AND SUSTAINABLE

The construction of the Newton Project property will not only meet passive house standards but will exceed them and be PlusEnergy accredited! The photovoltaic and solar thermal systems on the roofs and facades will ensure that the three houses produce more energy than is needed. As a result, heat consumption will be reduced 70% lower than the legal requirements thus saving considerably on additional utility charges.

VERSATILE AND FLEXIBLE

Construction of phase one which consists of 3 buildings with a total of 39 wheelchair-accessible units with flexible floor plans ranging from 50 to 150 sq. meters, onsite underground parking and a common garden will commence in 2015. The plans of the individual units can be tailored to your wishes. The project foresees the addition of another 6 houses over the coming years. This exceptional four storey development sets new standards for contemporary city living in Berlin whilst offering a desirable world of space, luxury and privacy within.

THE BAUGEMEINSCHAFT: A MODEL FOR SUCCESS

The ‘Baugemeinschaft’ is the private building cooperative that owns the property. The cooperative also functions as the real estate developer and contractor for the construction of the houses. The cooperative has been actively involved in the planning process from the very beginning making collective decisions about its real estate development and it is supported by a team of competent architects and engineers who help to inform and guide us in this process. This ensures high standards and saves the expense of external real estate developers.

AN INSPIRATIONAL PLACE

Adlershof Berlin offers an interesting mix of the old and the new. The village centre around the Dörpfeldstrasse with the market, church, shops and restaurants on the one hand and the new centres of the district including the university, businesses, television and film studios which come together to provide a lively and exciting combination in the greenest part of South-East Berlin. Our community is located in the growing residential area known as ‘Living on Campus’ where more than 1,000 persons are expected to settle.

CLOSE PROXIMITY TO PARKS AND LAKES

The Adlershof Park now known as the Johannistal Nature Reserve with 26 hectares of extensive parkland is only a few hundred meters away from our property. There is ample green space to either go jogging, inline skating or simply having an enjoyable walk. Some of the most beautiful areas in Berlin around the River Dahmen and the Müggelsee are only a short bicycle ride away.

JUST AROUND THE CORNER

The Newton Project is located in a vibrant area close to many local shops and amenities and the open spaces of the Johannistal Nature Reserve. There are already many facilities close by within a range of 500 meters such as a large supermarket on the Rudower Chaussee and the Adlershof Health Centre on the Albert-Einstein-Strasse. The Students’ Village is very close to our property and has a children’s day-care facility which is open to all children. A number of schools and high schools are to be found in the area along with many restaurants and bars. Additionally, also just around the corner is The Berlin Adlershof Development Zone offering the opportunity to find many interesting employment opportunities, especially in the field of sciences; high tech and IT.

TRANSPORTATION

The Newton Project is superbly connected with excellent transport links which mean the whole city of Berlin is at your doorstep. Whether by car or using the public transport system (3 suburban city transit trains, trams and buses), the museums, concerts and events in the city centre are easily accessible. The travel time with the suburban city train takes a mere 27 minutes to Alexanderplatz. It is just 20 minutes by car from Schöneberg to our underground parking.
